I often wonder why I started shooting colors in Paris, because the things in my home, the colors that I wear, and the objects that I’m drawn to are almost always neutral – black, gray, brown, white.
Now that the Paris Color Project is behind me, I’m very rarely drawn to color when I’m out with my camera. The photos I shot over the past year or so, and many of the photos in The Paris Journal, are a departure from my previous work.
Above are a few of my favorites.
I’ve been thinking a lot about the past four years, what lies ahead and what, if any, photography projects I’ll embark on. I plan to make a digital archive of the Paris Color Project that’s formatted to be read front-to-back instead of in blog format. When I look back, there are so many fond memories, many of which are buried in cumbersome archives. Blogging is strange that way, no?
