Guess what? We're moving to Paris.
There's a big part of me that can't believe I typed that, and there's another that feels it's perfectly sane to move to a place I adore. Ever since a honeymoon stroll along the Seine (that's me circa 2003 in the blurry photo above), I vowed I would live among the beauty and history that makes Paris special.
I've felt like a pigeon with a baguette since the moment it was a reality, and even though we've moved out of our house, donated or disseminated 75% of our possessions, and questioned our sanity (sometimes daily), I haven't felt this alive in years. The fear of the unknown is exhilarating, and I'm high on excitement.
For now it's a three-month stint, but since my husband and I are both consultants/freelancers, we're able to settle where the wind blows. For now that is Rue St. Paul.
I hope to find some beautiful things to share with you from across the pond, and look forward to staying connected right here. I know I will miss my family and friends, but thanks to twitter
(come play!), it's a whole lot easier to stay connected.
BTW, if you are in Paris, you'll likely find me in Cafe Beaubourg or Chez Omar, my favorite restaurants pictured above.
