Rue St. Paul

We've arrived!

Getting here was run-of-the-mill, with the exception of an unexpected delay due to fog (grrrr). We've spent the past day unpacking, shopping and settling in, and for the first time in weeks, I actually feel calm and at home.

If I haven't mentioned it already, our apartment is located on Rue St. Paul in the heart of the Marais - my favorite area of Paris. We are two blocks from the Seine and anything we could possibly want is seconds away. I don't think I've ever felt so lucky. A huge thanks to the universe for this one.

I have to do my homework on the building, but safe to say it's old. Very old. It's incredibly charming, and the exposed wood makes my heart beat fast. If I lived here permanently, I'd want to snap this apartment up for sure.

I could go on and on, but I only have time for a few photos. I have a lot of work to catch up on, and the kids finally went to bed (it's almost 11pm here).

Until tomorrow ...

PS. Thanks, Mrs. French for your beautiful photos and post yesterday!

Michelle – the time zone adjustment is going well for our 4yo. NOT so well for the 17 month old. He’s been a trooper, but is completely screwed up schedule-wise.

Suzanne – I will most definitely say hello to the Seine for you. ;)

Breathtaking…literally. You’re in such a perfect spot for walking most anywhere. Say Bonjour to the Seine for moi! Enjoy…{I know you will}! xo

Yowzah! That’s a great apartment!
Our daughter (then 11 months old) never fully adjusted to the time change when we visited family for a month near Rouen. No big deal, the new schedule became the new normal and not fighting it kept everyone happier!
