Prince Street Cafe

Downtown Lancaster is in the midst of a renaissance, and there are a lot of new shops and restaurants since I last spent a lot of time here.

The Prince Street Cafe is one of them. Fabulous, foamy coffee with free wifi to boot.

Doesn’t look like it will take much getting used to.

Lancaster (and central PA) is something of a marvel to me. I grew up on the Eastern half (outside of Philly) and went to undergrad in the western half (outside of Pittsburgh) and the middle Lancaster/Ephrata/ York-ish areas always struck me as entirely independant. Also, the thriving punk scene is kinda great.

Looks so serene. Definitely better than your run of the mill Starbucks.

Jennifer –

LOL, many people think Lancaster is all about cows and Amish. But really, the downtown center is pretty great. Beautiful historic buildings, lots to do.

Debunking the myth. ;)

Prince Street Cafe is absolutely fabulous! my other favorite store downtown is city folk. My mom and I found this cute alphabet book in there last time we went in.

I did think Lancaster was all about Amish…but who knew!! I so want to visit this summer…my hubby’s family leaves close to those necks of the woods:)

I would take that over Starbucks any day!

Ignore Starbucks. As long as you’re staying in the States go for “Quality”. It’s the small independent places that make the world a better place. Vive la difference!!
