Storm Lover

I don't know which was more beautiful.

Gray, ominous clouds descending upon the Seine, or the speedier, scarier versions that produced high winds, hail and tornadoes throughout the Lancaster region last week.

I am such a weather junkie and I'm high when there's a storm warning. The bigger, the better. I track, I obsess on nerdy weather forums, and I watch the weather channel like some people watch Oprah.

You would love living in Florida in the summer then….maybe not with the heat so much, but we have strong storms roll in almost every afternoon. They don’t always last long, but they are intense.

Nichole, you are so funny. I don’t think I could watch the weather channel for more than 5 minutes at a time. Tulsa weatherpeople are so dramatic anytime there’s a chance of rain (b/c obviously that also means a tornado’s coming..) I love a good storm, but only when I’m cozy in my bed. Although I did wake up one night last week and seriously wonder if I ought to be taking cover in my closet. Luckily it passed without shattering our windows and carrying me to Oz.

I do love your pics. Stormy skies can be really beautiful.

I have to vote for the Seine here… I grew up with the crazy tornado storms in the midwest and a storm over Paris just seems more romantic~

gorgeous photos of moody skies! I just love to watch the sky change, the weather roll in. from my desk I have a westerly view across the Berkshires and I can always see the weather coming. Love it! It’s like my own weather channel :)

I imagine you’d be very intrigued by the sandstorms we were having over here in the Middle East then a couple weeks ago….I love storms too! I miss that rain.

I’m with you on the storms. They have such powerful energy – and it literally electrifies the air. Would love to watch the weather on the other side of the pond too!
