One of my favorite things about Montmarte is the charming integration of green into the urban landscape. There's something magical about creeping ivy or twisted vines hugging the centuries-old stone buildings.

I couldn't agree more – twisted vines against stone is a perfect pairing!

i haven't had the pleasure of visiting france but the 'creeping ivy or twisted vines hugging the centuries-old stone' … along with quaint eateries and wineries … little 'holes in the wall' are certainly huge in the allure of this magical 'pinch me' place!
i am not sure if you follow stephmodo but her and her husband are renovating a stone cottage in france … unbelievable! take a peek at

I'm drooling over your beautiful photos of Montmatre. It reminds me of why I took 5 years of French. Am I a nut to have NOT gone to Paris yet? Yes!
