A few years ago, Evan carved these pumpkins for our son's Halloween party. This year he's determined to outdo himself, and he's currently sketching some ideas. The speed at which the pencil is moving indicates he's either on to something or feeling the pressure. It's quite a scene.
Perhaps I should remove the uncarved pumpkins from plain sight (they're currently a few feet away from him on the counter). It may be like staring at a blank sheet of paper.
