Morning in Montmartre

The winding hills of Montmartre are even more charming early in the morning before the hoards of tourists and people hit the streets. I didn't even mind the hair-wrecking fog.

Chessa – I agree.

We spent some time in the Marias yesterday (where we lived last year), and it felt SO busy and crowded compared to Montmartre.

I think we'll be leaning heavily on this area for subsequent trips. ;)

I love Montmartre at that time of day too! In a few hours those streets will be swarmed with people…that also has its off charm but there's nothing like having those winding , narrow, cobblestone streets all to yourself.

So perfect! I remember waking up and walking those streets. Listening to birds… it was my personal paradise. Thank you for sharing these photos. I'm getting all misty now…

You are killing me!

Montmarte is one of my favorite places. I still remember buying a small painting there when I was a teenager—it still sits in my house.

You've inspired us to book a trip in September. There's just something magical about Paris.
