Boarding Pass

Shutters in Montmartre
Good morning!

I'm over at Pret a Voyager today. I had the pleasure of meeting Anne (known to many of you as the editor of the popular Design Sponge series "Sneak Peek") while I was in Paris last week, and she asked me if I would take part in her Boarding Pass travel series. I love Anne's blog, and was honored to participate.

Here it is.

Check out the previous profiles as welll. Lots of good travel anecdotes and dreamy photos for this cold, first day of February.

Thanks, Anne!

Those blue shutters and doors are a total dream! I love that shade!

You're welcome, Anne! I really enjoyed participating, and it made me realize that I need to expand my travel horizons a bit. ;)

Victoria –

Lucky for me, I tend to wear the same thing over and over again anyway, so it works.

When I am in Paris in the winter, this is what I take. (not kidding!):

2 pair of dark jeans
1 pair of black booots
3 long-sleeve black tees
1 black sweater
1 gray sweater
black pea coat
black scarf

I can get by on that for four solid days, and if we are there for a week, I'll just pop everything into the washer.

We actually only take one suitcase with us when we go. Crazy, right? Since I am wearing the coat and scarf on the plane, I really have very little in the suitcase.

Have to save room for the butter.

nicole…just read your interview at pret a voyager…really lovely. I really want to learn to travel light…but constantly have my nonna's voice in my head saying "you never know…" !!! beautiful words to go with your equally as beautiful photographs of such an incredible city! Am trying to convince my terribly English fiance to spend more than 2 days in Paris with me!! oh dear! wish me luck!

I've discovered your blog today, I love it! Your photos of Paris are beautiful! I don't live in Paris but I love this city. :)

I really like your blog, great inspiration.
I enjoyed your Paris photos and especially the one with your little ones. I too travel lightly- I was resolute to not change when I had children and live by my mothers motto "if you forget something you can always get it when you get there".
Love the story about interrupting work to swim in the lake; that moments and people are given precedence over work is an approach I strive for.

Erinn – Olive green is the only other acceptable substitute for my brown pen. The ONLY one.

:)

And they must be fine point. Not an actual thick Sharpie. The "little" brown pen joke started because I referred to the fine point as "little" and Evan laughed at me.

that was fun. I use an olive green sharpie daily. but my blog is not called the little olive green pen. ;)

That was a great feature. Beautiful photos and now I really need to go to Paris.
