I love the lights in the Cité metro stop.
It's so rare that we're in this station, but as soon as we stepped onto the platform, I remembered why I like it so much.
We're all beyond wrecked, jet-lagged, disoriented, etc., but still managed to honor our first day ritual of falafels, crepes and a walk to Notre Dame. This time was especially exciting because I got to enjoy seeing my favorite places alongside my parents who have never been to Paris. We're celebrating my dad's 60th birthday, and splurging a bit.
Speaking of splurge, I can't wait to show you photos of the gorgeous Haven in Paris apartment we're staying in. It's such a score, and Evan and I were discussing how many souls we'd sell to own it. Upon arrival, we were treated to fresh flowers, champagne, wine and flaky chocolate croissants. After the hellish plane ride, hour and a half long wait at customs, and Nascar-worthy cab ride, it truly felt like a haven.
