Paris Color: Spring Green

I know I'm not the only one who's experiencing a mood lift from the warm weather and ample sun. My friend Rachel and I have been scheming and planning (some would argue geeking out) about our gardens this year. It's hard for me to focus on anything when I have clematis and hydrangeas on the brain.

Even though I know I shouldn't, I want to stop by the nursery this weekend and ogle the flowers. It's going to be hard to wait until May to start planting.

I'm a newbie when it comes to gardening, so tips, websites and any other tidbits are welcome.

love that green. your photos are beautiful! i love to garden and when i moved into my home with an actual backyard i went crazy planting and falling in love with so many flowers. for me, it's been most fun to get perennials from neighborhoods and friends. less expensive and hardier flowers you know grew for them. then i splurge on the adorable flowers i just can't resist. have fun! xoxo, juliette

Love it! My blog's post for today was about green too! Just greens of Alaska, certainly not as chic as greens of Paris…

I'm super excited about getting my garden going too. And I have to wait until June! I found this great (and beautiful!) book called Grow Great Grub by Gayla Trail. Here's the amazon link… http://www.amazon.com/Grow-Great-Grub-Organic-Spaces/dp/0307452018

I love it. Great ideas for getting started, a little of everything from containers, garden plots, compost, seeds/plants how-to's, even recipes. Plus, the pictures are so pretty. Good luck!
