Personification

Chairs at Tuileries Sally had enough of Jeff's lack of commitment and let him have it right there in front of the bench Chairs at Tuileries His jokes were never humorous Chairs at Tuileries Jean and Matilde met in this very spot 50 years ago I think these Tuileries garden chairs are excellent candidates for a little fun with personification. What? You don't routinely assign human traits to inanimate objects? These chairs have personality. They feel stuff. They have secret lives. And if you look close enough, you'll see their little mini dramas unfold.

Every object (animate or inanimate) has a story to share – we just have to 'listen' in different ways!

Love this post!

Dancing –

Love it! You should definitely write the story down.

I love your captions. I recently came across an empty shopping cart in a really nice suburban neighborhood. I created a short story in my head about it because it was so intriguing. How did it get there? Who's going to have the humility to wheel it out? Lovely blog!

Love it. I totally do that in my head when I see things like those chairs. Good to know I'm not alone. You may have inspired me. There is an odd scarecrow type thing in my neighbor's yard that I posted about…but now I'm feeling that I didn't do it justice. I might need to go write his 'story'. Thanks for the inspiration!

Citric – funny you referenced anthropomorphizer. I was torn whether or not to use that term. The definitions are so close, and I know they are hotly debated. ;)

I'm an anthropomorphizer from way back.

I do so love your sense of whimsy….

That just might be one of my favorite blog post of all time…so clever and equally comforting to know other people can see little stories like that. I'm totally inspired to capture with my camera too!

Thanks for bringing in humor & a little bit of Paris to my day!
