I've always wanted to try the 40 Clove recipe…everything I've ever made of hers has been great! Fall is most defintely going to be here in Seattle this weekend so I think I'll give it a go, thanks for the "kick"! xo J~

Anna –

I always make her 40 cloves of garlic as soon as it feels a bit like fall. Today is perfect!

Great post, Nichole. Just found two new blogs to follow as a result of it – C'est Christine and HiP Paris. Merci buckets!

And don't get me started on the workaday (i.e., workaholic) American life. I rant about that on my own travel blog, regularly. Lately though I've had a breakthrough – I'm now saving and planning for my 5-year plan … in five years I intend to embark on a gap year. My hope is that in starting to chart it out now, I can extend it (well) beyond 365 days away from the cubicle farm.

If only my Etsy shop and art sales elsewhere would take off, I'd be set to sail sooner! But, good things come to those who wait (and simultaneously plan, I would think). Or so "they" say.

Thanks for including my Life in Italy vs France post Nichole. I look forward to everyone's thoughts on the differences of living in the two countries! Have a great weekend. A bientot – Erica

Off to try the 40 cloves of garlic!

Anna –

I actually use chicken thighs instead, and the 40 cloves are kept whole, so it's not as overpowering as you think. ;)

The sauce is REALLY rich, though!

Nichole -I would be so afraid to try the 40 cloves of garlic! And I looked at the recipe and I have no idea how to eighth a chicken!

I would never pass it up if someone cooked it for me though!
