Cafe table for two
Fantastic Read: This is Your Life. I don't typically like this stuff, but it struck a chord today.
Fabulous Food: Chocolate Dulce de Leche Flan. Oh David!
Faraway Place: A Daily Thing. Meet Sabine, a French expat in Australia.Fine Book: A Moveable Feast. Admission: I've read this at least 5 times.Found!: Genius ice packs. Seriously, I need these every other day, and the boys love them.
Have a great weekend, everyone. I'm celebrating turning another year older. Wiser? I hope.

re, HOLSTEE: Nice manifesto, but it's rarely so simple. For example, I wish just cutting out something senseless and decadent like TV would afford me more time each day. I don't watch nearly enough TV or regularly for a fast like that to make a difference. At any rate, if it all falls in place naturally like that for you (not you, Nichole, perse, but 'you', in general), count your blessings. My life is significantly less blessed, but blessed, yes, nonetheless (man, that was a mouthful).

re, Daveed (speaking of things decadent): What a delicious life, and dude. I love me some Daveed. He signed a copy of his book for me when he came to San Francisco! It's forever a cherished memory of how much my affection for someone with whom – via the interwebs – I'd gotten to feel so familiar with could be utterly disinterested (and possibly freaked out) over my familiar affections, in person (i.e., I asked him if when I went to Paris this spring if we might meet for a chocolate somewhere; he and my boss at the day job are real friends, and I dropped her name but, alas, it didn't make a lick of difference).

re, Chef: Börk, börk, börk!

re, The feast that moves: Is it really as good as they say? I suppose there's only one way to find out …
