This Year, I'm Writing Down the Cheeses

This year, I'm writing down the cheeses. Every one of them, and hosting cheese parties to celebrate my resolution-y effort.
Remember this post from last year? The post where I admit to never remembering the names of cheeses and wine I like? The one where about 50 of you gave me fabulous recommendations for cheese? The one that for about five days inspired me to think about committing to writing down the cheeses, but didn't inspire me to act, and so I went on with my forgetting?
2011 is my year. My cheese year. My cheese and wine and appetizers and cocktails on Friday--every single Friday--year.
I might go all out and simmer up a fondue.

Hmmm, I might just have to join you in this resolution… What a great way to spend each and every Friday!

Another resolution I have- finally put together my Perpetual Paris calendar. I've had it for about 6 months now! For shame…

So, next time I'm in your part of the world, I'm thinking I need to sneak my way into your Friday cheese party. Should warn you I eat a lot for a small woman – I eat like I'm still a full-time athlete – you'll order up big yes? I too forget the names of the cheeses I love (although Manchego has finally stuck after several tapas bars and asking my husband umpteen times "what's that cheese I like in tapas bars?"). Same goes for movies… although I did watch Julie and Julia again over the break. I thought of you everytime they mentioned butter!

Happy to know that their are others that believe Friday to be what it was really intended for – cheese. And wine. And appetizers. and then some cocktails. It's the proper way to end the work week and kick off the weekend.

Good resolution. 2011 won't be my year, but I should follow your lead. I never remember the names of cheeses or wines that I like. Jamais.
