He Said Early Spring, Right?

Flowers
It's crazy cold today in New York.
Some sidewalks are still icy and the wind slices right through your coat. I pried myself out of my work-from-home clothes (read: comfy) and into something appropriate for a meeting, and all I could think as I battled the wind was the heavy sweater and toasty fire I left behind.
I'm back now (oh, hello sweater!) and I'm protesting the prolonged cold with a photo of flowers I took in sunny Mexico last summer. I love how the paint on the wall looks like petals from the flower.

Risa –

The flowers looked fake in person as well. I couldn't get over it.

That's a really cool picture. To me it looks like the two flowers in the shade are actually painted on the wall, like pretty graffiti. It took me a moment to realize they were "real".

I think it's the first time in a while that the groundhog predicted an early spring, so . . . it MUST be true ;) Lovely picture, btw. Like Susan, I thought the petals were blowing.

Oh wow I thought those were petals blowing! Aren't we lucky that we can wear "work at home" clothes…read: (for me) pajamas! I count my lucky stars all the time. :)

I don't believe that damn groundhog.

But I'll believe your photo.

That type of flower is all over California. It's usually purple. I prefer the white.

So beautiful against the texture and color of the wall.
