Cheese: Week Eleven
I have a crush on Cypress Grove. It started with with their Humbolt Fog, and their Creamline Midnight Moon sealed the deal. I now want to try every cheese they make. Midnight Moon is an aged goat cheese. It's slightly grainy like a parmesan, and the flavor is nutty and buttery. It was perfect straight up - no cracker required. I plan to pick up another wedge this week to use in a salad. Buttery crunchy goodness aside, I really loved the packaging. The black wax with the vintage image is so pretty, don't you think? I feel like we're getting lucky with our somewhat arbitrary cheese choices. We're one quarter of the way through our year of cheese, and so far there have only been one or two unpleasant ones. What I've learned is there is a lot of good cheese out there. On to week 12.
