Rue des Barres

Still a favorite spot, especially in the early morning hours before the crowds descend.

When I was there last spring, there were a number of Leo & Pipo pieces all over that area. I was taking photos nearby and a man stopped me to point me in the direction of Rue des Barres. He said there was a huge one along that lane or just around the corner. I hunted and hunted, but never found it. It was very sad! But a lovely excursion nonetheless (:

Hello Nichole

that is absolutely beautiful.

I can't imagine a paris street so quite.

It almost it looks closed for a private matter.

I am at total peace (and envy) looking at this photo.

I think that orange window is the "auberge de jeunesse" where I stayed many years ago. There must have been something about that street, because I ended up remaining in Paris for a year and a half after that. Lovely picture-thanks for the memory.
