Last Light, Paris

It was a hazy evening, and the sun was setting behind the Louvre. As the last rays dipped behind the building they illuminated the lamps and cast a diffused, ethereal light into the courtyard. It was a fleeting, magical moment.

This image is exceptional, Nichole. I've never seen the Louvre from this angle before, and had you not mentioned it was the Louvre I don't think I would have made the connection. I like that it made me think there was some dreamy-dramatic corner of the city that I'd not seen before. The best images, I think, are those that make you see a familiar place in a new light. And this photograph does that for me, quite literally! Bravo.

Another achingly beautiful photo – you do have the knack.
