Maison Gatti Chairs

At over $700 a chair, Maison Gatti chairs are currently out of my price range. So while I save my pennies, I've been ogling the collections on their site. Maison Gatti are the ubiquitous French bistro chairs and have been handmade since 1920. I never tire of shooting them, and just when I think I've seen every design, I spot a new one like the ones above. I started an inspiration pin board, here. I really want those barstools!

Agh! I’d KILL for a set of barstools like these! Unfortunately I think they’d cost more than all my appliances combined!

Have you seen these, a less expensive knockout that looks pretty good. http://www.serenaandlily.com/Furnishings/Furniture-Chairs-Mushroom-Riviera-Arm-Chair

Love. love, love your Paris photos! I would love to see similar series for NYC.

I love those bistro chairs!! I didn’t realise they were a specific design. I always love your photos of them, btw!

I LOVE these bistro chairs — and at Café Varenne in the 7e, they have a gorgeous long Maison Gatti banquette in a soft grey. I dream of having one in my sprawling Left Bank apartment (all after I win the lottery, of course). In the meantime, I hope to find a couple of those little low stools at a flea market one day.

Oh awesome, I’ll check out your board. I also hope to afford them someday…classics!

The banquettes are so cool! I will own four of these chairs one day, even if I have to buy them one at a time!

Those are really close!

I never get tired of these chairs…or your photos of them. At $700 a chair I think I will have to keep my pottery barn knock off ones from about 15 years ago that I’ve painted about 10 times and just enjoy your photos!

Thank you for your blog, unfortunately few images you are showing are not French Bistro Chairs by Maison Gatti, they are counter-feeting, like the one “banquette & French Bistro Chairs”, and the one around the table with a weave Navy and white.
Best regards
Annick
