"Who has seen the wind? Neither you nor I." - Christina Rossetti
From her short work, Who has seen the wind.
Rossetti greatly admired the Romantic poets (especially Keats), and this lovely excerpt beautifully captures the Romantic vision of nature. While the wind can be read as a metaphor for a variety of things, her simplicity and restraint makes it all the more powerful.
In this illustration, we chose to use a dandelion as the subject. And out of respect for Rossetti's intentional ambiguity, we'll leave it to you to interpret its meaning.
