By word lovers for word lovers. The Bibliophilia series was inspired by an obsession with the underlined passages in our favorite books. Snippets of text from authors, philosophers and thinkers are used as a springboard for a new idea and design.

The best thing about paperbacks (apart from their smell) is that when a sentence grabs you, you can underline it and revisit it. While leafing through some old books, we rediscovered the phrases we had underlined, some of which sparked a new idea for a visual response.

"They slipped briskly into an intimacy from which they never recovered."

- F. Scott Fitzgerald

We love this line from This Side of Paradise; it reminds us of the headlong intoxicated rush into mutual obsession - the kind of love that usually ends badly. Here, a flapper dress transforms into a martini glass as it is unzipped.

"Adopt the pace of nature: her secret is patience."

- Ralph Waldo Emerson

In this illustration we wanted to explore nature as an animated, living thing. The hill is a buck hiding in plain sight.
