I'm reading old Robert Frost in the new Obvious State edition.
Bold Impresstionist art sparks attention
to the lay of words on the page,
the carpenter's craft of each line.

Read slowly aloud one hears the song.
Roads and birches, woods and snow,
stones and walls, windows and ridges,
the tensions of talk and silences
all rise from the page like crops.
Old man, you bring it close and into light.

Love these little keepsake books !

The illustrations are beautiful, yet they overwhelm the text at times. The books are travel sized. My opinion is a high end magazine format would be a better fit.

Robert Frost is lovely, and I was introduced to some poems I didn't know. The formatting on this one did make it harder to tell when one poem ended and the next started, so they blended as one, for better or worse.

Apple picking. Boys bending birch tree branches. The woods. The snow. Darkness.

This is a beautiful book! Frost’s words are as timeless as ever, and Robertson’s illustrations just light them up!
Both of my favorites are in here, which made me even happier to read it, and glad that I bought it!

This is a cute book of this family's much-loved poems. The spine is quite tight, may be better as the book is used.

Another beautiful little pocket sized book from the publsher Obvious State. This time it's a few Robert Frost poems along with beautiful illustrations and typography work. A perfect read on a cold rainy or snowy day, with a cup of coffee or hot chocolate as you watch it all from a window. It's a contemplative book of Frosts poetry, and I'm sure I'll revisit it often when the mood strikes.
